Thermoprotect EZ 8M 10 W/Mtr Frost Protection Kit 5614
Thermoprotect is a simple pre-terminated heating cable that can be wrapped
around exterior or vulnerable liquid carrying pipes to prevent freezing up in
the winter. They come complete with an integral thermostat and are available in
various lengths. Using very low amounts of energy and only operating at
temperatures below 5°C its the ideal way to prevent costly pipe bursts very
economically.
Every year in the UK, sub zero temperatures cause pipes to freeze and burst
causing costly damage. Thermoprotect stops pipes from freezing and keeps water
flowing. Winter weather in the UK is getting increasingly worse and as
temperatures plummet, pipes burst, boilers fail and gutters collapse.
Thermoprotect heating cables have been specially designed for protecting
metal piping against low temperatures and the risk of freezing. When properly
installed, the heating cables will only switch on when the temperature drops to
+5°C. Additional applications include trace heating for use in gutters and
around gulleys to prevent freezing. For example gutter runs above public
entrances can be heated to prevent snow build up and resultant snow falls.
Automatic frost protection for external pipes and guttering that comes on
automatically at temperatures below 5°C.
Thermoprotect EZ is an intelligent self-regulating cable with a variable
output rated at10w/m at 10°C. This means that the cable can react to differences
in temperature all the way along it’s length and maintain an even temperature
even if one end of the pipe is frozen and one is not. This feature is
particularly useful for pipes that run from inside to out or water tanks that
require complete protection, but have particularly vulnerable areas.
Thermoprotect PRO is a simple but effective fixed output cable rated at
15w/m. This model features a built in thermostat, located at the terminated end,
which detects ambient temperature and humidity and switches the heated cable on
at 5°C.
Thermoprotect Xtra is self regulating cable with extra power. The output is
variable and is rated at 30w/m at 10°C.
